This collection is a tribute to the classic French wardrobe while exploring the representation and vision of the body, its shapes and the nudity, a recurrent thematic for the artist.
Ophelia Jacarini works across a wide array of mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. Accomplished dancer, her work is intensely personal, revealing intimate details of her soul and thoughts. The human body stands as a perfect subject with regards to her background both from fashion and fine arts. This collaboration with Mahka came very naturally, offering a sophisticated collection, strong and sweet at the same time, for her and for him. Bamboo fibers and natural cotton fabrics are making one with Ophelia special artworks delicately printed on it. Timeless effect is granted with mostly black and white tones. We also find the French elegance and its legendary ready-to-wear inspirations: the little black dress, the dancers’ skirt, the shirt with a structured cut… Clothes like a second skin free to be revealed as a result.
