BRUNO AUSSILLOU
For him, Paris is an imaginary, mysterious and poetic city… setting up the scene in black and white with some color touches.
Bruno Aussillou was born in Roubaix (France). He studied photography at the Icart- photography school at Levallois. Professional photographer since fifteen years, he is now focusing a little more on his personal researches. Influenced at a very young age by comics and inspired by a certain kind of cinema, music and literature, he likes to look at the city and more particularly opening his eyes on Paris. For him, Paris is an imaginary, mysterious and poetic city… setting up the scene in black and white with some color touches. From this landscape, Bruno has created a character: Betty! But who is Betty? A woman? Women? She is a disturbing strangeness. He likes when the story becomes critic, complicated, abstract, singular. He likes when the viewer creates his own story through his pictures. Complex, complicated, unique, abstract. Freedom it is. Each picture is a limited edition to 30 copies (all sizes combined) printed on Hahnemühle Museum Etching 350g 100% cotton fine art paper by the artist himself in Paris.
